The proper way to make it work is to press the setting button. Then press the + button, and add any two languages. At this point you must select the languages (only 2 languages that are in the same line). You will be taken back to the first screen where you will have to make sure the arrow is pointing towards what language you want to translate to (you can tap the arrow to make it switch sides).
